She is a big animal welfare advocate and hopes to improve the lives of animals in her future career.

When she is not working with either cats or horses between her two clinic jobs, Melissa can be found hiking or biking the Guelph trails as a member of the Guelph Hiking Trails Club. In addition she has four animals to take care of; two cats, Marie and Belle and two Guinea Pigs, Doe and Pepper.

Kendra
Receptionist

Kendra joined the Guelph Cat Clinic team in January 2022. Her love of creatures great and small has always played a major role in her life. She graduated from Queen’s Unıversity in 2008 and has a background in theatre arts and education. While studying Drama, she volunteered at the Kingston Humane Society, where she first became captivated by cats. It was there that she adopted her feline family member, Gabby. While working as an ESL teacher abroad, Kendra volunteered at an animal shelter in South Korea and cared for cats and dogs as a pet sitter in Istanbul, Turkey, where she also adopted her cat-loving dog, Leya.

She considers herself truly fortunate to be working with and learning from the knowledgeable and warm-hearted team at the Guelph Cat Clinic! There is truly no job like contributing to the well-being of our furry and fabulous friends!

In her spare time, Kendra enjoys singing and dancing shamelessly in the living room with her family, exploring the outdoors, and trying her hand at writing children’s stories. She has always fostered a deep love and respect for animals in young people, and is a proud mom to a budding young ‘‘cat-whisperer’’ and aspiring ‘‘animal rescuer.’’

Following his lifelong passion of working with animals, Uneeb graduated with a HBSc degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph in 2019 with aspirations to return to school for a DVM degree.
