Dr. Maggs is a 1985 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. She joined the Guelph Animal Hospital in 1988, and purchased the clinic in 1990. Later she welcomed Dr Rob Butler as co-owner. In 1995 she pursued an increasing interest in feline medicine by purchasing the Amberlane Cat Clinic, renamed Guelph Cat Clinic. Dr Maggs completed a certificate in Feline Medicine in 1994 and continues to attend lectures and seminars on feline health each year. Dr. Maggs lives in Guelph with her husband, 2 children, 2 dogs, a ferret and 2 Devon Rex cats.
Dr Maggs is very happy to be focused on one species in her veterinary career. Each day as a cat vet brings an endless variety of feline personalities. There is never a dull moment!
